1724, and blank forms will be available on 15th July 1924.

By Order,
FRENCH MUNICIPAL COUNCIL. BRITISH MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
Shameen, Canton, 21st June, 1924,
Dr. Reynolds, referring to Traffic Regulation No.12,
thought the hours stated rather short. In his opinion 5.30
p.m. (Summer) and 4 p.m. (Winter) was too early to turn the
servants off the seats.
H.B.M. Congul-General! Of course, unlean the seats
are required the servmts will not be turned off.
In any
cane I think it is a minor point and I do not think for one
moment that they will be turned off, say, for instance, when
the clock strikes 5.30 p.m.
The Rev. kr. Tope suggested that Rule No.7, that the
roads in hameen shall not be used as a thoroughfare from
bridge to bridge or from landing steps to the City, should
not be enforced until after the new Shakee had bean complet-
ed. The Chinese had used the roads in Shameen for a consi-
derable period and to suddenly turn them off would be, to say the leant a trifle naran and likely to cause ill-feeling. He thought they should wait until the Shakee Maloo was
completed.
H.B.M. Consul-General replied that the Shakee Maloo would be completed he thought, nome time this year but it would probably make a little difference to the traffic. He wished to point out that twenty years ago the chinese did not use the Shameen roads, inis practice had only grown in recent years, and that in spite of the fact that other ronds had since become available in the City.
kr. Kitching thought that most of the traffic through the Middle Avenue of Shameen would cease.
