A special general meeting of the ratepayers of the
British Concession, Shameen, Canton, was held at the offices
of the British Consulate on Monday evening, June 30th, for
the purpose of making the necessary arrangements to provide
funds for the better protection of the Concession.
H.B.M. Consul-General (Mr. Bertram Giles) presided.
The firms and individuals entitled to vote were represented
as follows: -
