the 30th July, 1919, regarding the pension awarded to Mr. A. Pattison, of the Hongkong police, I have the
honour to enclose a copy of a letter
from that pensioner, and to ask whether the pension or any part
thereof was awarded under conditions which would
exempt it from Income Tax under Section 16 of the
Finance Act of 1919.
