I have the honour to report en events afloat
in corection with the Canton orisis, which may be unid
to have started a.m, on Tuesday 23rd June as follows :-
Then the attack on Thameen oemrred, I shifted
berth as arranged, to the west end of the Inland to cover
that flank,
I had one Lewis gun's crew ashore, one E.R.A.
and two Stolare at the Faterworks, otherwise I was fully
marmed.
H... "ROBIN", also at lest end, had one
Sawie gan's orew ashore and ons stoker at jairy Paru.
H... "MUKHEE" was at d. à E pharf with
one støler at Dairy Parm.
H.M.S. "TARANTULA” Bnd "MOTE" were more or
less completoly depleted of upper deck hands and "TAXANT—
UIA" has one B.A.4. and two Stokers at Katerworks.
On Friday, 26th, "ROJII's" gan's oraw and
Btoker were withdrawn and she relisved "MOORAFT" at
B&B harf, the latter sailing for fuchow. My gun's oFOT
who withdrawn, but the gun was left ashore in reserve,
being named by the Thomson Special ¿bliss.
These re-dispositions were made in consecuence
of the majabis taking over the whole left flank from
the British Bridge westwards.
This left "DICALA" the only mobile gunboat
available......
