I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit herewith copy of a report dated 17th February, No. 204/1034, from the Commander-in-Chief, China Station, on the subject of the prevention of piracy in the
Canton Delta.
2.
My Lords would suggest that a Conference should be held of representatives of the Foreign Office, Colonial Office, Board of Trade and Admiralty, to consider the
action which should be taken.
3. This letter has been sent to the Foreign Office,
Colonial Office and Board of Trade, and on hearing that these Departments concur in the above proposal, My Lords will take steps to arrange the Conference.
