Required for final payment for the building which should have been completed in 1924.

This was expected to be completed in 1924 but was not finished in time to make payments during that year.

The vote for this Service was found insufficient and this balance is necessary mainly owing to increased cost of materials.

The cost of this work was underestimated. It being found necessary to erect more retaining walls than was anticipated.

These resumptions are necessary in connection with the improvements and developments at North Point and Quarry Bay.

The final payment for this work could not be made until this year.

A sum of $43,000.00 was unexpended in 1924, and only $15,000.00 was included in Estimates for 1925.

Required to complete the railway bridge running over the New Road from Mongkoktsui to Kowloon City. The final cost could not be estimated until the cost of the girders was known.

Cost of cable when known exceeded the estimate by $22,000.00 but the cost of laying was $4,000.00 less than anticipated.

Cost of cable exceeded the estimate by $16,000.00.
