This is a revote of the balance unexpended in 1924. The work not being finished in time to make the final payments.
As in No.3.
This work was provided for in 1925 but owing to the cable not being received in time could not be completed until this year.
A new X Ray Plant was found necessary and the opportunity of purchasing a suitable plant at low cost presented itself and it was considered desirable to take advantage of it.
The sum is the balance due for the purchase of the Queen's Gardens Property, paid by Crown Agents.
This vote was inadvertantly omitted when compiling the Estimates for 1925.
During the construction of No.8 Police Station is nas been necessary to rent temporary accommodation.
This Hospital which is run by the Chinese Committee under Government Supervision required assistance. As the value of this institution to the Community is great it was considered desirable that assistance should be given by Government.
The sum estimated for 1924 was not fully expended and this vote is necessary to complete the work.
