I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of the Governor's third personal Note Kisonlinneous of thể ălat totber, 1925, transmitting a sohedule of
Fineneial Kinutes Nos.1 kc đỡ of 1920.

I approve of the expenditure of the sumB involved, but the position with rag-rd to kinube No.7.
Public Works Extraordinary,8291,800 Compensations and
Resumptions is set clear to me. In the schedule it
is stated that this mm represents the balanse due for the purchase of the Queen's Gardens property, paid by the Crown agente for the Coloniam. Such balance should knya bean sovered by a Financial Minute in 1924, and in the last paragraph of Sir R.E.Stubbs' despatch No. 310 of the 11th August,1920, it is explained that this
was omitted in error. It tiaım begarse nesssary to
submit a Fianneial kinate in respect of this amponditor
in 1925; but the money was none the less expanded in
1924, and a sun purporting to be the equivalent of this
expenditure was included in the Supplementary
Appropriation Ordinance, 1924. This latter gris,
however, (8281,379,31, see the enclosede to Siz R.E.
Stubbe' despatch No. 310 of the 11th August, 1925) des
not tally with the figure in Financial Linute No.7
of 1925, and I should be glad to learn how this
discrepancy
