Desirable.
(103). Revenue Offices and Quarters, Yaumati. (104). Alterations to Magistracy. Necessary to the proper conduct of the Court pending the erection of a new Magistracy which is a matter which should be considered at the end of the five years period or earlier if possible.
(105). Mong Kok Tsui Fire Station. Will be required eventually but I am not certain that it will be needed by
1930.
(106) & (107). Schools at Kowloon. These depend on Military Land becoming available. It seems most improbable that it will be possible to make a start with them before
1930.
(108) & (109). Schools. See (46). I doubt whether these
will be required for some time to come.
(110). Markets. Desirable. Small works which can be
provided for when convenient.
(111). Roads. All these works are necessary and should
be pushed on as fast as possible.
The main item is that for strengthening the existing roads to enable them to carry motor busses. This is most necessary in order to spread the population and so ease the housing difficulties. I think that if it is not possible to provide from revenue such sums as can be spent every year on this work it would be justifiable to raise the remainder by loan.
(112). Practically a recurrent vote for minor works
which cannot be exactly foreseen.
(113). An access road necessary in connection with a
housing scheme:
(114). Drainage. Necessary in the interests of the
public health.
(115) & (116). Drainage works necessitated by the
growth of the town.
