This is merely to acknowledge the receipt of
Mr.Amery's letter of the 25th June regarding the
evacuation by the British Battalion of the site in which
Sir Paul Chater is interested at Hong Kong.

Secretary of State will make enquiries into the matter
and will write personally to Mr.Amery as soon as
possible.
