With reference to your despatch No.115 of

the 20th March, I have the honour to confirm my telegram

of the 14th of May, which was as follows decoded; -

"Your despatch No.115 of the 28th March there are "four vacancies first Medical Officer with

"bacteriological experience second port health

"officer third medical officer for schools and

fourth medical officer for venereal disease a

clinic. Mrs. Hinett recommended for third post."

2. I much regret that so much inconvenience

should have been caused through the ambiguity of the telegrams sent from here, and I trust that the matter is

now clear.

I enclose a statement showing how all the

posts are filled and where the vacancies occur.
