Accountant of the Treasurer.
That investigations into irregularities should in the first instance be conducted by the Treasurer.
In view of the divergence of opinion between the Hon: Colonial Treasurer and myself as to the inter- pretation of Colonial Regulations in question, I gratefully accept His Excellency's proposal that the matter be submitted to the Secretary of State for a ruling, and shall be glad if my letters No.18 of 5th and 17th March 1925 are forwarded to the Secretary of State.
