To have the honour to attach an extract from
a letter received from the Managing Agents of the Eastern
and Australian 3. 3. Co. Ltd., Brisbane which is self
explanatory and shall be obliged if you will kindly let
us have your advice in the matter. If arrangements can be
made for the Board of Trade to accept Certificates of Survey
issued at Hongtong and thus enable repairs to be effected
to E. & ▲. Steamers here it will obviously be to the advantage
of the Colony.
We shall be glad if you will kindly give this
question your early attention in order that we may reply
as soon as possible to the Managing Agents.
