Your despatch of 8th December No. 392.
Three Chinese aged about 19 not British subjects sons of Liang Shi Yi and other ex-Chinese officials leaving here 14th January by the steamer Hakosanmaru for England via Marseilles to enter Oxford in the autumn also Woo Lai Sin matriculated Student University of Hong Kong brother of Woo Hau Sin now at London University for industrial education. They accompany Warner my former private secretary.
Strongly
recommend that their entry should be facilitated as in view the influence of Liang in China it is most desirable to keep him well disposed to Great Britain. Request telegram to Warner at Marseilles c/o Thomas Cook's. Identification papers being issued.
