FOR CIRCULATION :—
Sir Edward Stubbe, Term of Office as Governor.
All the Unofficial Members of Exec. Council & the Legis: Council strongly urged extension of term of office and extension of powers further as put by Barlow.
The despatch referred to has not come to this Dept. but today Sir P. Chalmers called on me & spoke about it. I said it might be convenient if he & Stubbs could see the draft next week.
Sir P. Chalmers is one of the most prominent unofficial members here where he has been for many years, a leading member of society in Churching.
