Along Grove Road to Tanjong Katong, past the Sen View Hotel, and along First floor Road through beautiful groves of coconut palms along the sea coast. Inland along Bedok Road and back toward town on Changi Road, passing through hills planted with coconut and rubber trees. Gelang Road or Beach Road.

Tide: about hours from Johnston's Pier. Distance: about 30 ml.
The Mesa Tour No. 3, but continuing out Changi Road from Bedok, to the 11th mile, then along Tampines Road to Serangoon Road, then via Yio Chu Kang Road past the Admiralty Wireless Station to Thomson Road, stopping at the Reservoir a few minutes, returning via Thomson, Cavenagh and "Orchard Road.

Time: upon hours from Johnston's Pier, Distance: about 30 miles.
Via Thompson Road, pausing at the Reservoir, to Mandai Road, through a bit of dense forest to Bukit Timah Road, and along same back to town; or, if returning to a steamer and not desiring to drive through the town, turn off Bukit Timah Road into Reformatory Road for a due drive, a good bit of it along the West Coast via Pasir Panjang Road to the Wharves.
