No. 309 (T 9396/9396/323) of August 10th, 1922, have the honour to transmit herewith copy of a despatch which I have received from ilis Vajesty's Consul at Tamsul on the subject of the nationality of certain descendanta in Formosa of IBAT THEAN LYK,
I beg leave to support Mr. Phipp'' recommendation that he should be authorized to notify the two sons of TRAP THEAN LYE now residing in Formosa that since no proof of the validity under British law of their parents' marriage is available their claim to British nationality and their registration at His llajesty's Consulate at Tamsui cannot be recognized by His Lajesty's Government.
