with reference to Colonial Office letter No.35781/ 1924 of the 12th instant, I am directed by Mr. Secretary Ramsay MacDonald to inform you that he concurs in Mr. Secretary Thomas' proposal to approve Sir R. Stubbs' suggestion that the arrangements for the remuneration of the Chief Justice at Hongkong for sitting as a member of the Appeal Court at Shanghai should not come into force until the 1st January next.
