At the fixat session, M, wan Wottom Wes elootod Ohaizpan of the Committeo, The far woeting was held in Genove from March 6th to Merch 10th. The second moeting was held in Peris from March 28th to 20th, the third meeting was held in Cono va from April 26th to April 29th and the fourth meeting was held in.. Genova from July 12th to July 15th,
Sir Joln Jordan was not able to be present at the second third and fourth meetings, M. Brenior was not able to be present at the third moeting and Mr. Noville at the fourth meeting. the other members were prosent at the four meetings.

During its first sassion, the Preparatory Cemittoo suggested that the Council of the League of Nations should extend the terms of refercnoo of that body to include also the First Conference. It also passed the following resolution
with a view to the Socond Conference:-
"In order to enable the Committee to accomplish the task
entrusted to it by the Council of preparing draft arrangements for the limitation of the production of morphine, heroin end cocaine, and of the raw materials to be exported for such manufacturo, the Committee considers that it will be necessary for 13 to act in consultation with representatives of the chief manufacturing and producing countries, and it eo cordingly suggests to the Council the the Council should invite the Goverments of those countries to nominate re- presentatives who should be called upon to collaborato with the Preparatory Committee, when necessary.
