With reference to your letter No. 3057/24 of Secretary Ramsay the 28th ultino, I am directed by Mr MacDonald to transmit herewith a copy of a telegram which has been received from His Majesty's Minister at Peking regarding co-operation between the British and Canton authorities for the suppression of piracy.

Mr. Ramsay MacDonald desires to call especial attention to the penultimate paragraph of the telegram and would be glad if a warning could be conveyed to Sir R. Stubbs 'the sense contained therein.
