With reference to the letter from this Department of the 10th December, enclosing a paraphrase of a Jecencer Oth_talewran which was despatched on the 5th December to

the Governor of Hong Kong in consequence of the

suggestion made by the "overnor of the Straits Settlements

for the suppression of the Falayan branches of the Kuo

Win lang, I am directed by Fr. Secretary Amery to transmit

to you to be laid before the Lords Commissioners of the

Admiralty, the accompanying paraphrase of a telegram which

nas been received in reply from Sir E.Stubba.

Kr.Amery will be glad to receive in due course

the observations of Their Lordships on the suggestion zade

in the last paragraph of the letter from this Department

under reference.
