I have the honour to submit for the signification of His Majesty's pleasure Ordinance No. 8 of 1924 intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Twenty five million two hundred and seventy sight thousand one hundred and thirty three dollars to the Public Service
of the year 1925" together with the Attorney General's
report upon it.

I enclose sight copies of the Estimates of
Revenue and Expenditure, an Abstract showing the differences 1 between the Estimates of Expenditure for 1924 and 1925 and
the usual Financial Statements.
3.
The Budget was introduced into the Legislative
Council on the 16th of October and on the first reading of
the Bill I delivered the address of which I enclose a copy.
The second and third readings were taken on the 3rd of
November and I enclose a report of the proceedings of the
Council on that date.

In my address I have dealt very fully with
the details of expenditure and it appears unnecessary to recapitulate these explanations in this despatch. The outstanding feature as regards the Establishment is the large increase in the staff of the Public Works Department.
