With reference to your letter of the 16th October, Fo.2717/1919, relative to the defective vision of Messrs. Darkin and O'Sullivan, engaged as Police Constables, I have the honour to transmit herewith reports received on this matter from Colonel W. T. Prout and Sir John Rose Bradford who examined these recruits respectively. We shall be glad to be informed whether in future all candidates who have not typical normal vision are to be rejected on that ground alone.
