In reply to your letter /12011 I beg to state that I did not regard the degree of myopia present in the case of 3y. F. C. Dowling se autticient to dis- quality him for service as a Police Constable in as much as it had not been so regarded during his service in the Royal Irish Constabulary. I should be glad to be informed whether all candidates who have not typical normal vision are to be rejected on that ground alone.
