GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

HONGKONG. 29th September, 1924.

Sir,

I have the honour to state that Mr. V.

Sinclair has expressed a desire to present to Her Majesty the Queen a portfolio containing photographic reproductions

of the stage models exhibited by him in the Hongkong Section of the British Empire Exhibition, in which he understands

that Her Majesty was interested.

I shall be glad if you will be good enough

to ascertain whether Her Majesty would be willing to accept

the photographs,

2.

I am also informed by Mr. Hallifax that Her

Majesty purchased two folds of a small four-fold porcelain screen at the Hongkong Section, and that the second half of the screen was subsequently purchased from the funds under the Committee's control. I shall be glad if Her Majesty will graciously accept from this Government the remaining two panels of the screen,

I have the honour to be,

gir.

Your most obedient humble servent,
