The Council has caused a provisional plan to be drawn in order to show how it would propose to utilize the land for which it asking. This plan I have the honour to submit herewith, together with certain observations thereon for your consideration. It will be observed that the area required for immediate purposes amounts to approximately thirty-eight sores; and it is hoped that the Government will, see its way to granting a further area, not exceeding fifty acres in all, for future extensions.

Should the Government entertain this application favourably, my Council desires to put the work in hand at

once, and as a preliminary step, to have a five foot contour survey made, at its own expense, in order to obtain the necessary data without which final plane carmot be made.

The Council has tried to arrange the boundaries of the area for which it applies so as not to interfere with an

while adequate approach to land further east and south, giving the school room for development on its proposed lines The need is kept in view of having a boundary which would be easy of definition, with an eye to the efficient administration of school discipline if the locality should in future be developed as a residential ares.

It is intended to place the Hostels as far as possible from Stanley Village, And it is expected that through attention to drainage and sanitation the site will be

rendered healthy.

The amount of ground available for exercise, (included in the 38 acres now asked for) is inadequate for such a school. The Council hopes as I have said, to be able to future to obtain another plot lying south-east of; and adjacent to the site now asked for, a plot which could
