A reply has been received from the General Post Office, London, regarding the gratuities to be paid to the Chinese employees who were in the employ of your Agency. In order to be in a position to calculate the amount that would be payable in each case it would be necessary to report the names of the
men who have
(a) joined the Chinese Post Office.
(b)

Consular Service.
(c)) Obtained other employment.
(d) too old to seek further employment.
The attached list may perhaps be filled in and returned to me early.
