X-POSTAL AND TELEGRAPH SERVICES.
The total revenue from the postal service in 1922 amounted to $662,862.11 being $18,704.57 more than that collected in 1921. The net openditure suounted $258,115.57. The balance of revenue over expenditure amounted to $404,746.51.
The revenue collected in 1922 from nulio-telegrams amounted to $32,052.99 being $12,970.01 more than that collected in 1921. Advices of vessels signalled at the lighthouses yielded 725,80, and semaphore messages $13.00, making a total of $32,792.39 for the telegraph service. The expenditure amounted to $65,070.85. The number of radio-telegrains forwarded during the year was 2,904 consisting of 40,928 words, and 7,865 received consisting of 104,858 words.
