My despatch of the 31st August Crown Agents
for the Colonies unable to obtain the second Architect
and suggest modification of the qualifications for the post
I do not consider this desirable and would prefer raising
the intial salary to £500. As an alternative suggest that
suitable candidate might be obtained from Canada at present
