Dear Paskin,
The Secretariat of the Les of ations has written to me mofficially on the question of the countries which should be invited
They have got to the Conference on Opium Smoking in the Far East. hold of a list (which they think was iven to them by Sir John Jordan) of countries which are interested, and the list includes, among others, New Zealand, Australia, Solomon Islands, Fiji and British New Guinea. According to the replies sent in to the League of Nations Question- naire, the smoking of opiwa is prohibited in New "ealand, Australia, and Fiji. I camot find that any replies were received in regard to the Solomon Islands and New Guinea, but I do not remember ever having
