Baving finished my report upon the work of the Committee I may purha,s and a few words with regard to the resolutions to be propose to the resembly,

The question of enforcing the provisions of the Jpium Convention is an exceedingly import.nt one, and represents at the same time a field of many closely related interests. I am sure therefore that the general discussion upon this question will be of grunt interest and that it will porha 18 reveal many different points of view.

Under these oircumstangas it seems to me to be imprac- ticable to draw up a suries of draft resolutions before the

I would refer to general discussion has taken place.

mention us a basis for further discussion a series of points upon which in my opinion resolutions ought to be passed by

this Committee.

I shall therefore at present confine myself to moving the following resolution to be adopted by our Committee for

submission to the Assembly;-

"The assembly

Expresses its deep appreciation of the very valuable work done by the Advisory Committee on the Traffic in pium and other dangerous drugs,

Adopte its reports and resolutions and asks the Council to take the necessary steps to put thuse resolutions into effect."T
