4. From my knowledge of and acquaintance with the said

Walter Guthrie Erwin I am able to and do state tnat ne is of

good character and in every respect fit to become a Subject of the British Empire and I feel certain that if permitted

to become such a subject he will always remain loyal to is

Britannic Majesty. I am enabled to make the foregoing

statements owing to the fact that I have for many years been

in personal contact with the said Walter Guthrie Erwin.

AND I make this solem Declaration conscientiously

believing the same to be true anu by virtue of the provisions

of the Statutory Declarations Act 1855.
