I, CHARLES ROBERT CRISPIN, of Kowloon Docks, Victoria
in the Colony of Hong Kong, Shipwright, do solely and
sincerely ueclare anu say as follows :-
1. I am a housenolder in Victoria aforesaid and am a
natural born British Subject and am able to anu do testify
to the racus nereinafter set forth from my own personal
knowledge thereof.
2. I personally know and a well acquainted with Walter
Guthrie Erwin who resiues when not absent from Hong Kong in
the course of his occupation as Ships' officer at No.30 Praya
East Victoria aforesaiü. My knowledge of and acquaintance
with the said Walter Guthrie Erwin extends over a period of
at least Five years.
3. There is now produced and snown to me the document
constituting the Memorial (respecting mis Application for a
Certificate of Naturalization as a subject of the Britian
Empire) of the said Walter Guthrie Erwin bearing date tne

day of December 1922 anu marked with the
letter "A". from my knowleuse and acquaintance with the
said Walter Guthrie Erwin I am able to anu uo say that to
the best of my knowleuse information and belief the state-
ments containeu in such Memorial are true,
