Owing however to the fact that the routes to be covered and
the Countries concerned are entirely British, it is imagined that this help will be forth-coming if it is in any way
possible.
I have discussed the matter briefly with the
Colonis] Secretary for Hongkong, who expressed his opinion
that his Government would be likely to support such a scheme,
were the other Governmente agreeable.
I have also discussed the matter of Aerial Survey
with the Conservator of Forwests at Kuala Lumpur, and with
the Survevor General, who are I think, both favourably disp-
osed towarde experiment in the matter,
I have also received letters from the Controller
of Lands and Surveys, Sarawak, which indicate very strong) v
that that Country is in favour of Aeria) Survev if it can
be carried out in the first place, at a moderate cost.
If there is any further information or criticism
desired in regard to the enclosed scheme, I fesl sure that
Colonel The Master of Sempill will be pleased to give it.
