I am desired by the Duke of Devonshire to request
you to inform the Army Council that an application for an educational appointment in the Colonial service
has been received from sergeant Major Alexander White
(Warrant Officer Class (1) Army Education Corps.
His Grace would be obliged if the Army Council
would cause him to be furnianed with as full a report
as possible upon the service and qualifications of tnia candidate, to assist in determining the degree of his suitability for Colonial Government appointments as compared with those of other candidates from the various branches of His Majesty's Service. The report should as far as possible give inforation as to the candidate's experience, capacity for work; physical fitness; personal nabits and intellectual ability.
