4. Mr. White will be discharged from the Army on 10th January, 1923, and his provisional appointment under this Government will take effect from 11 th January. If you should not approve of the appointment, and in the event of his forfeiting the passeges which would in the ordinary course be provided by the Military Authorities, I should be prepared to grant free passages to England for Mr. White and his family.
