NOTE. The Unit of one tamlong is also in use in British Malaya (Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States) and Jaya, where it is designated as a "tamil" or "tael", with a weight of a little over 38 grams. In Siam this weight has been adjusted to correspond to the weight of 10 salungs or 211⁄2 ticals -37.5 grams. In Burma one tola-10 grams approximately. In Formosa 1 momшe=4 grams approximtely. One tamlung is divided into 100 boons.
