is inequitable that a Company should be faxed twice in respect of the same assets and that even if there was not this duplication of taxation the total amount payable by the various Obmpanies is greatly in excess of any monise vhich would be received by the dolony by way of stamp duties on transfers, Estate Duty of Probate Duty if the company were a Hong Kong Company and I would further point out that owing to the whole of the Company'ė operations being in China they obtain no benefit from being registered in Hong Kong.
My Directors appreciate that it is aspernary that the Companies Registration Department at Hong Kong should regeįve sufficient monies in fees etc. to provide for its expenses but as the additional cost of the Beɛistry at Shanghai is only $3,000 a very much maller fee than that of a gents on every gloo #nould shply suffice to meet all expenses.
My Directors deɛire me to request you to make representations to the Hong Kong Council with a view to getting a reduction in these taxes, their view being that no tax should be levied on the sapital or a Company in exésis of Vex, ₫3,000,000.
