Dr. John Anderson was a member of the medical staff of the
City of Glasgow Fever Hospitala for more than two years. During
the last eighteen months of this, he held the position of Senior
Assistant Medical Officer in Ruchill Hospital. Dr. Anderson has
thus had a large hospital experience.
As Senior Assistant, the surgical requirements of the hospital
were under his special care. The equipment and conduct of the
diphtheria wards formed a part of his duties, and he was also re-
Dr. sponsible for the surgical work required in these wards. Anderson also gave courses of lectures to the nurses in the hospital and to the students attending for "Fever" instruction.
Dr. Anderson is thoroughly well up in his medical work, and
takes a keen interest in his profession. He is also well acquainted
with the modern scientific side of medicine, the side from which
further advance is chiefly to be expected.
