Dear Sir Gilbert Grindle,

238

Mr Rose has given me your letter of February 14th.

While it is true that we are negociating directly

with the University of Hong-Kong I am sure that a letter

from the Colonial Office to the Hong-Kong Government expres-

eing an interest in the proposed plans and the hope that

these will be realized would be of great service.

It was a pleasure to meet you the other day and

to tell you something of our cooporátion with British

Institutions.

With assurances of high regard,

I am,

Yours sincerely,

Ferg

Bir Gilbert Grindle,

Colonial Office,

Downing Street, LONDON,
