I la commanded by My Lorda Commissioners of the Admiralty to Coquaint you, for the information of the Army Council, thut difficulties have been experienced for some time by the Dockyarden at Hong Kong in rescrd to obtaining suitable housing accommodation,
2. ly Lorde have had under their consideration a report by the Director of Doolyards (who recently visited Hong Kong) from which they gather that the Amy Council are contemplating moving a considerable number of troops from the Island to the nainland,
3, If this be the case, it may be that there will be housing accomodation surplus to military requirements.
4. liy Lords will therefore be glad to be informed at an early date whether there are any War Department houses or quarters available at Hong Kong which the Army Council would be prepared to hand over to the admiralty for the housing of Dockyard nen,
