I am commanded by lly Lords Comissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the infomation of the Army Council, that difficulties have been experienced for Bone time by the Do ckyardnen at Hong Kong in regard to obtaining suitable housing accommodation.
2. Ky Lords have had under their consideration a report by the Director of Dockyards (who recently visited Hong Kong) from which they gather that the Army Council are contemplating moving a considerable number of troops from the Island to the mainland.
3. If this be the case, it may be that there will be nousing accommodation surplus to military requirements,

My Lords will therefore be glad to oe infomed at an early date whether there are any War Department houses or quarters available at liong Kong which the Army Council would be prepared to nand over to the Admiralty for the housing of Dockyard men.
