Mr. Slattery (K.G.0.F.) raised an objection, and Considered that this proposed joint Naval and Military Club would be a purely private concern, and that the War Department should not be concerned as regards negotiating with the Colonial Office for my land that such club would require, and proposed tnat such club hould negotiate direct with the Colonial Office on the matter.

No conclusions were arrived at, and the question as to future procedure should be taken up by the Army Council wita the airelty.

The Chairman considered that any accommodation that the dmiralty night require for housing dockyard.en should be taken up quite as a separate natter direct with the Colonial Office, and hat any su ca accommodation now proposed to surrender in the eigabourhood of the docks to the Colonial Government should be proceeded with, the Admiralty then approaching the Colonial

overment afterwards.

Admiral Sir L,E. Power accepted this sugestion, and all ther neibers agreed.
