I am directed by the Duke
of Devonshire to request you to
inform the Marquese Curzon of
Kedleston that the Government of
Hong Kong has recently enacted a
Deportation Ordinance, No.19 of
1921, which gives the Governor
in Council power inter alia to
issue a Deportation order against
any persons, including British
subjects, who in his opinion are
guilty or likely to be guilty of
acting within or without the Colony
in a manner prejudicial to the
public
