under the present decree shall be demarcated by engineers

attached to the Ministry of Colonization and Agriculture. They may be freely selected by the Immigrant in the

zones indicated for immigrants without restriction at

the rate of one lot per immigrant; but he is at

liberty to acquire up to a maximum of two more such

lots after having been three years in residence and

having developed his original lot.

Article 12.- Property titles fall under two heads

provisional and definite, the latter to be substituted for the former after all the pecuniary obligations of the immigrants shall have been discharged.

Article 13.- Immigration lands that have not been worked.

after a residence of two years shall be put up to auction,

and the amounts due to the Government or raised on the

property deducted from the sale price, the balance being

handed to the immigrant.

III. Offices for the assistance and information

of Immigrants.

Article 14.- All Bolivian Consular Offices abroad, and

particularly those at Hamburg, Antwerp, Barcelona, Paris,

Bordeaux, Havre, Marseilles, Lyons, London, Liverpool,

Genoa, Naples, Rome, Turin, Milan, Lisbon, Stockholm,

Berne and Geneva are appointed as centres of information

and assistance to immigrants intending to proceed to

Bolivia. Special steamer transportation terms can be

applied for in such offices, where the necessary proofs

with regard to the capacity and character of the

immigrant will be required.
