9. In comection with proposals for construction of

wharves and other works, it was found necessary to obtala

certain information by means of soundings, borings and

sconomical method of collecting such information was that

we should make a list of what was required and leave the

aetual work of soundings, dorings, etc., in the hands of

a letter dated 25th November, 1920, detailing the infor-

ation required, and making certain suggestions in regard

to its collection.
