REPORT ON ORDINANCE No...4........................of 101- 1922,
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled
an Ordinance to extend temporarily the provisions of
the
Renta Ordinances, 1981, with certain amendments,
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's Instructions.
2. The object of this ordinance is to extend temporarily the pro- visions of the Renta Ordinances, 1921.
Repeal and consolidation
seemed to be the most convenient course, especially as it was de- sired to make a few amendments in the existing law. As few al- endments as ossible were made because it is hoped that this will be a very temporary measure, though section 10 gives an indefinite
power to extend the Ordinance,
