Murder 24th February on the Praya Hongkong.

Deceased

concerned during the strike in getting away steamships dur-

ing the recent strike.

Defence at Police Station apparently alleged mistaken

identity.

Deceased was going in a ricksha along Praya from East to

West.

Mr. Morgan about 50 feet behind walking nears a

crack. Ricksha let down and sees a man dart away and run

up towards Queen's statue, chased hin followed him along

passed statue along Des Voeux Road and up Wardley Street.

Lost sight of him then for an instant but is sure he saw

the man caught. The man caught by Mr. Pereira opposite

the Bank - stood back by the corner and seized him.

Frean passing along West to East on Des Voeux Road and

he saw a man running followed by Mr. Morgan. He got out

and joined in the chase and saw Prisoner and Morgan only

running.

A coxswain of Fire Brigade also joined in the chase and

a P.C.

Shortly after a revolver found lying in Bank garden by

Assistant Compradore of Bank who hands to Mr. Barlow the

Assistant Manager, Murderer probably threw the revolver

there as he was running.

Government Medical Officer. On 24th February about 12 nom sees the body of a Chinese male. I found he was dead. I found a bullet wound at the back of the right shoulder. body removed to the mortuary.
