Sir,
With reference to your memorandum of the 29th July covering copies of correspondence with the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Canton, on the subject of the release of two seroplanes stored in godowns at Kowloon, I have the honour to inform you that an application was received on the 15th September from Mr. Jow Sing of 3 Duddell Street, Hongkong, the consignee of the two aeroplanes, for permission to ship them to Manila. I raised no objection to this and the aeroplanes were sent to Manila.
On the 6th November I received a telegram from
His Britannic Majesty's Consul-General at Manila of which
I enclose a copy, to which I replied as enclosed on the 7th November. Nothing more has been heard of the matter and
I have little doubt that the aeroplanes are by now in Canton,
I have, &c.,
(Sa.) R. E. STUBBS,
Governor, &c.
Hie Britannic Majesty's Consul-General,
CANTON.
