EXAMINATIONS FOR THE PUBLIC.

8. The public continue to take advantage of the Laboratory and have forwarded a great variety of samples for examination on payment. The fees paid into the Treasury during the year amount to $43,995.00 as against $25,846.50 in 1917.

The value of the year's work as determined from the Tariff of Fees (Government Notification No. 439 of 1918) is $48,670.00 as against $29,861.50 in 1917.
